Overview & Approach

Carlton Landing is a one-of-a-kind walkable community nestled on the shores of Lake Eufaula, Oklahoma — rooted in connection, lifestyle, and thoughtful neighborhood design. The redesign of the website focused on creating a clearer, more intuitive experience: direct navigation, organized content structure, and natural pathways for its growing neighborhoods and offerings.

Visually, the work was crafted to feel like Carlton Landing itself. With editorial layouts, elevated photography, and intentional white space working together to create a welcoming, story-driven experience that inspires future homeowners and visitors alike.

Information Architecture
The old navigation was functional but generic, feeling transactional and saying little about the place itself. As part of the broader redesign, the site structure was rethought around how visitors actually experience Carlton Landing, with sections renamed, regrouped, and expanded to better reflect the character of the community. The result is a more intuitive journey for first-time visitors, vacationers, and future homeowners alike.

Design Direction
The previous site felt dated and generic — blocky layouts with no visual rhythm and little sense of place. The redesign changed that entirely. Earthy tones, editorial layouts, and generous white space work together to let the imagery lead. Warm, candid lifestyle photography does the heavy lifting, conveying the feel of Carlton Landing before a single word is read. Aspiration first, information second.
